Patrick Peterson Named Blue Ribbon Preseason All-American, Tigers Ranked No. 17
LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has garnered another preseason All-America honor as Blue Ribbon Yearbook named him to its team. The Tigers are ranked 17th in the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook Preseason Top 25 that was also released over the weekend.
Peterson was joined in the defensive backfield by Miami’s Brandon Harris, UCLA’s Rahim Moore and Clemson’s Deandre McDaniel. Peterson was the only Southeastern Conference player to be named to the All-America defense.
Other SEC teams ranked in the top 25 include: Alabama (2), Florida (5), Auburn (15), Arkansas (20) and South Carolina (22). Ohio State was tabbed the nation’s No. 1 team by Blue Ribbon. LSU faces North Carolina, which is ranked 18th in the poll, in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Sept. 4 in the Georgia Dome.
